HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY EXAM?

Our staff will instruct you with any dietary changes, if necessary. In most cases, you won't need to change your diet. You can go about your usual routine both before and after your scan. Plan on spending approximately 30 minutes to an hour with us.

WHAT WILL I EXPERIENCE?

You may be asked to change into a gown. You will then meet with our trained technologist, who will explain your exam to you and answer any questions you may have. You may receive an injection or be asked to drink a contrast agent that will improve the diagnostic accuracy of the exam. The technologist will then assist you onto the scanning table that will slide through the scanner's doughnut-shaped ring. You'll hear humming, buzzing or clicking sounds during the exam. The table moves every few seconds during the exam - you simply relax and remain still. You will not feel any discomfort. During the entire exam, you will be monitored by our technologist. You wll be able to communicate with each other over an intercom.
